About FestiScout

What it is

FestiScout is an iPhone app that treats festivals as the reason to travel, not a footnote. It's a calendar of more than a hundred festivals across 45+ countries — lantern nights, food weeks, carnivals, opera summers — on a globe you can spin. Pick one, and the app helps you build a day-by-day route around it: distances and travel legs between stops, smart ordering, a nudge on where to stay. When you're actually there, check in; when the route is good, publish it to the community or send friends a link that opens straight in the app.

Why it exists

Big travel platforms are built around destinations: pick a city, then look for things to do. Festivals invert that — the event picks the date and the place for you, and that constraint is exactly what makes those trips memorable. But festival dates are scattered across a hundred official sites, many shift every year, and no booking giant makes them the starting point. FestiScout is the small, focused tool we wished existed: the world's festivals in one calendar, and a planner that gets you there.

Who's behind it

FestiScout is an independent product — no ad money, no data resale. It's funded the boring way: if you book a hotel through a link in the app, we may earn an affiliate commission, at no extra cost to you. How we handle data is in the privacy policy — the short version is that almost everything stays on your phone.
