Terms of Service
Effective July 30, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and FestiScout ("we", "us") covering the FestiScout app and festiscout.com. By using the app, you agree to them. They're written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us at hello@festiscout.com.
1. The service
FestiScout is a festival calendar and trip planner. Most features work entirely on your device without an account. An optional account (email code, Apple, or Google) unlocks the community features: publishing trip routes and liking other people's routes.
2. Your account
Keep access to your sign-in email secure — it's how your account is protected. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Account → Delete account), which permanently removes your profile and everything you've published. You must be at least 13 to create an account.
3. Your content
Routes you publish stay yours. By publishing, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and display that content inside the service, with your display name, so other users can see, like, and import it. The license ends for content you unpublish or delete, and when you delete your account. You're responsible for what you publish.
4. Community rules
Published content and display names must not include:
- harassment, hate, or threats aimed at anyone;
- sexual content involving minors, or any illegal content;
- spam, scams, or ads disguised as trip routes;
- other people's personal information without their consent;
- content you don't have the right to share.
The app has built-in tools to report content and block users, and we act on reports. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — severely or repeatedly, without notice.
5. Festival information
We work to keep festival dates and details accurate, but festivals change dates, move, and get cancelled — often on short notice. Information in the app is provided for planning, not as a guarantee. Always verify with the official organizer before booking travel. We're not responsible for costs caused by inaccurate or outdated event information.
6. Hotel links
Hotel suggestions link to Booking.com through an affiliate program: booking there may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Your booking contract is with Booking.com and the property, under their terms — we're not a party to it.
7. Fair use of the service
Don't scrape the service, probe or overload our backend, work around security or rate limits, or use the service to break the law. The app and its content (except what users publish) are ours and protected by copyright.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Travel involves risk that an app can't remove — plan sensibly.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow parts of this limitation, so it may not fully apply to you.
10. Ending or changing the service
We may change or discontinue features over time. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll say so on this site with reasonable notice. Because your trips and check-ins live on your device, they stay with you either way.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date above and note it on this site before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
